BIZILAW TERMS OF SERVICE (“TOS”)As at 25 June 2007
1. Bizilaw is targeted at people with an interest in
Singapore law and
the legal profession, including but not limited to practicing lawyers, inhouse counsels, law academics and students, paralegals and legal executives. Bizilaw provides users with access to a rich collection of resources, including links to news, forums, career postings, articles and advertisements (
the "Service"). Unless explicitly stated o
the rwise, any new features that augment or enhance
the current Service, shall be subject to
the terms of service.
2. Bizilaw is owned and operated by Bizibody Technology Pte Ltd ("Bizilaw Operators "), and is provided to you under
the terms and conditions of
the TOS and
the rules governing
the use of
the Forum and
the Career Centre.
2. You are welcome to use Bizilaw at anytime. But you must not use it in such a way that will break
the law or cause loss to anyone or violate anyone's rights such as copyright infringement and defamation, and laws concerning
the publication of unlawful materials. You must not impersonate anyone or post false messages since
the se activities may be criminal offences. Please also do not use Bizilaw to spam.
3. The materials you post in Bizilaw must be owned by you. This means you must be
the intellectual property rights (IPR) owner of
the materials. By placing
the m in Bizilaw or submitting
the m to us, you irrevocably grant us permission to reproduce
the m in any medium.
4. With regard to the Bizilaw Forums, while the administrators and moderators of the Forums will attempt to remove or edit any generally objectionable material as quickly as possible, it is impossible to review every message. Therefore you acknowledge that all posts made to these forums express the views and opinions of the author and not the administrators, moderators or webmaster (except for posts by these people) and hence will not be held liable.
5. You acknowledge that Bizilaw Operators (including Bizilaw forum moderators (“Moderators”)) may or may not pre-screen content, but that Bizilaw operators and Moderators shall have
the right (but not
the obligation) in
the ir sole discretion to pre-screen, refuse, or remove any content that is available via
the Service. Without limiting
the foregoing, Bizilaw and its designees shall have
the right to remove any content that violates
the TOS or is o
the rwise objectionable. You agree that you must evaluate, and bear all risks associated with,
the use of any content, including any reliance on
the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of such content. In this regard, you acknowledge that you may not rely on any content created by Bizilaw or submitted to Bizilaw, including without limitation information in
the Bizilaw Forums and in all o
the r parts of
the Service.
5. If you do not like what you see on this site, please inform us immediately with specific details of what you find objectionable. If you contact us with a complaint, you must allow us a reasonable time to act on your complaint.
6. You must not use Bizilaw for any commercial purpose. Bizilaw is a medium for exchanging information lawfully and freely. Use it at your own risk. We will not be responsible for any claims, loss, damage, and legal costs that you may suffer because of your use of Bizilaw.
7. The terms and conditions may change from time to time by us and will have retrospective effect. Please update yourself each time you use Bizilaw.
8. Bizilaw is a website with content. There is also interactivity. We do not warrant nor agree that Bizilaw will provide accurate information, be of satisfactory quality, fit for any particular purpose, or be free from any programming defects or malicious codes. All implied and statutory warranties are excluded. We will not be responsible for any loss that results from
the use of Bizilaw.
9. We assert ownership of IPR (like copyright and trade marks) over Bizilaw generally. However,
the re may be third party IPR that do not belong to us. Please obtain permission from
the respective IPR owners before downloading or reproducing any materials from Bizilaw.
Privacy Statement and Registration
10. All information received by you from your use of
the Bizilaw website may be used by Bizilaw Operators and such use shall be in accordance with our Privacy Statement.
11. On registration, you must provide Bizilaw with accurate, complete registration information and it is your responsibility to update and maintain changes to that information on
the applicable
the Bizilaw website registration pages. Bizilaw is entitled to rely on any information you provide to us.
12. Each registration is for a single user only. On registration, you will choose a user name and password ("ID"). Bizilaw does not permit any o
the r person sharing your ID or access through a single ID being made available to multiple users on a network. Bizilaw may cancel or suspend your access to
the Bizilaw website if you do this without fur
the r obligation to you.
13. You are responsible for all use of
the Bizilaw website made by you or anyone else using your ID and for preventing unauthorised use of your ID. If you believe
the re has been any breach of security such as
the disclosure,
the ft or unauthorised use of your ID or any payment information, you must notify Bizilaw webmaster support immediately by e-mailing

Bizilaw may, at its sole discretion, ban a user should a user fail to conform with
the se TOS and any rules governing
the use of
the Bizilaw Career Centre and
the Bizilaw Forums. If you cause us to suffer any kind of claims, loss, damage or legal costs, you must indemnify us for such claims, loss, damage and legal costs (on an indemnity basis).
